After dropping to a single week in 2024, our Algarve Spring Training Camp is back to two weeks for 2025. Demand for that single week in 2024 was unprecedented and we finally squeezed in more than 110 participants. We will be limited to just 90 runners per week next year and we expect to sell out once again, so don't delay if you be part of the UK's longest running and biggest endurance running camp in 2025. If you are unfamiliar with the camp, it follows a very simple formula: warm spring weather, a great variety of running routes, a friendly environment and an expert, enthusiastic coaching team. It is no wonder the 2:09 Events Spring Training Camp is now the biggest and most successful overseas running camp for UK athletes. Whatever standard of runner you are, you'll be amazed at the progress you can make in a week of focused training with a supportive coaching team and other runners just like you. The camp offers two running sessions a day plus afternoon yoga, pilates or core-fitness sessions as well as evening seminars, talks and social events. You can do as much or as little as you like. There are no compulsory sessions, everything is open to everyone so just pick and choose what you want to do. The camp is friendly, inclusive and genuinely caters for all standards of runners, whether you are trying to win a marathon - one of 2023 campers won the Brighton Marathon a month after the camp - or simply taking the first steps towards a debut 5K. If you have a non-running partner more interested in lying on the beach that running along it, they will be welcome too. There is plenty of downtime between the training to relax beside the pool, stroll on the beach and enjoy the local shops, cafes and restaurants. The camp has a capacity of up to 90 runners per week, which means there are a range of running abilities, experiences and goals on display during the week. The runners are often a mix of small groups, couples and increasingly a large number of singletons. Whatever your running standard, you are going meet others like you on the trip. While we have a large number of returning customers on the camp there are always plenty of newcomers. We have a specific programme designed for first-timers to help them orientate to the surroundings, meet other runners and ensure they always have someone to run with. The hotel prices at the Victoria Sport and Beach Hotel have increased dramatically for next year, as they did in 2024, which has forced us to increase the cost of the week, particularly for those who want single occupancy of one of the apartments. We haven't increased our camp fees, the price increase for 2025 is entirely down to a price increase levied on us by the hotel.
